The Georgia supreme court ruling on the restriction of sex offenders which was overturned by a unanimous decision might have a chilling effect on other states, cities, towns, and villages in how abusive their residence restrictions are, and may make some rethink the implimentation of overly broad and punitive residence restrictions. Time will tell whether any will seek a way out of these residence restrictions, or will seek ways to minimize the Georgia supreme court ruling.
