Plan to appeal decision on homeless sex offender

LANSING STATE JOURNAL

TAKING ACTION: Ingham County Prosecutor Stuart Dunnings III, left, plans to appeal a court's decision that homeless sex offender Randall Dowdy shouldn't be punished for not registering an address or giving his whereabouts to law enforcement. The Michigan Court of Appeals upheld a lower court's decision in an opinion released Tuesday.

Gimeweb Comment: Homeless and hapless a prosecutor never the less wants to punish this man, and probably any others for not having an address to register. By golly we should have the right to punish him, why, he's a sex offender. Laws that are structured to help the homeless fall even further. What is the goal? Why, he should be in prison - like all them sex offenders.

Hate based laws and hateful prosecuting attorney's indeed do demonstrate that TV shows depict them correctly. The goal is to prosecute no matter what. Innocent or guilty it does not matter. Homeless and hapless it does not matter. Laying on a hospital bed it does not matter. Too old and feeble it does not matter. They are pretty much like debt collectors. They got a job to do and they don't much care how they do it as long as it gets done.
